Natasa's Notes

Fellow Pioneers,

I am thrilled to welcome so many of you to Alumni Weekend this Friday! It's such a rewarding experience seeing alumni reunite with classmates and friends they hadn't seen in years. If you haven't signed up for the various events this weekend, please do so now! While it's true that we pay special attention to 5-year reunion milestones each year, several Alumni Weekend events are geared to ALL alumni: Alumni Day at Keeneland (tickets still available for the Phoenix Room) and TGIF Alumni Weekend Kick-Off Party at Sawyer's Downtown on Friday; Admissions Session for alumni volunteers, Alumni Celebration Convocation, Transy Family Lunch, Residence Halls Dedication and President's Reception on Saturday. Check out the schedule today!

Alumni Weekend gives us a chance to celebrate friendships, thank our volunteers and supporters and honor several individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in their professions and for their communities and their alma mater. Click here for the list of 2017 Alumni Weekend award recipients and better yet, come to the Alumni Celebration Convocation to see them recognized. This event will be broadcast via Facebook Live on our page, so be sure to tune in if you can't be here in person.

As always, thank you for your interest and involvement in Transylvania programs.

Yours in Transy Spirit,

Natasa Pajic Mongiardo '96

Seniors raise money for new Transylvania University Sign
Seniors raise money for new Transylvania University Sign
Senior Challenge is a tradition at Transy that started in 1990. Each year a group of volunteer senior students raises money as a class to leave their legacy on campus. The 2017 committee has challenged their classmates to raise $17,000 with 47% class participation to replace the Haupt Circle Transylvania University sign.
Share your advice with the Class of 2017!
On May 27, 2017 we will celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2017! Do you remember the moment you turned your tassel on Old Morrison lawn? The future was exciting but a bit daunting at the same time. As these seniors transition from life as a student at Transylvania to their next step we would love to offer them advice from Pioneers that came before them. Please submit your Pioneer Wisdom through this form by May 19, 2017 so that we can share these during Senior Week events and on social media with the hashtag #Transy2017.
