What an amazing Alumni Weekend we had a couple of weeks ago! Thanks to 910 alumni and guests who came to #RenewTransyTies, we had a record attendance this year. Highlights of the weekend included: Alumni Day at the Races at Keeneland, two Faculty Talks, Pioneer Kids Club, Alumni Celebration Convocation, Transy Family Lunch, the celebration in honor of Dr. Joe Binford, the President's Reception in Celebration of Reunions and the many five-year class reunion events. Several Greek chapters also held special reunions in conjunction with the weekend.
At the Alumni Celebration Convocation we recognized several alumni for their service to Transylvania and their communities as well as professional achievements. Read more about these extraordinary individuals here. To view official photos from various Alumni Weekend events, click here. Planning for next year will be underway soon, so in the meantime save the date -- April 28-30, 2017!
As we look to Commencement next weekend and welcoming the Class of 2016 into our alumni family, I want to express my gratitude to you for the commitment you've shown our alma mater by supporting its mission financially, as well as with your time and talents. Please remember that there are 42 days remaining until June 30 and if you have not done so yet this year, make a gift to our annual fund to support student scholarships, or to another Transy area of your choice, before our fiscal year ends. Yours in Transy Spirit,
