TransE-Mail - May 2015
Natasa's Notes

Fellow Pioneers,

It was a pleasure to see so many alumni return to Transy for Alumni Weekend a couple of weeks ago. We had over 700 alumni and guests on campus, the highest attendance since 2007! You may view photos via our Facebook page and read about alumni who were recognized during the Alumni Celebration Convocation in the news section below.

We were excited to “break ground” on the Alumni Plaza project during Alumni Weekend, even though we had to stay inside due to the rain. The deadline for inclusion of the bricks, trees and pavers in the first construction phase is May 15. See the link under the photo above for more information.

As you can see on the events schedule on the right, lots of fun activities are planned for alumni the next couple of months. Save the date for President Carey’s Inauguration on October 9 and 10, 2015. Next year’s Alumni Weekend has been scheduled for April 29-May 1, 2016. We hope to see you at one or more of these events.

Thank you for all you do to support and promote our alma mater!

Yours in Transy Spirit,
Natasa Pajic Mongiardo ‘96

Rick Weber
Rick Weber
As the German studies program developer and director, Rick Weber wanted to create a curriculum that addresses undergraduate needs. In his mind, that includes getting to know the culture as well as the language and getting a feel for the literature that students would study at the graduate level. "I think we offer a fully integrated program," says Weber. "It's a cohesive and articulated curriculum that moves you from basic learning to an advanced level at a reasonable, logical, and coordinated pace." Click title to read more.
