Message from President Carey

Dear Alumni,

As we kick off a new year here at Transylvania, we have many opportunities to reinvigorate our commitment to the goals we have set for the rest of this academic year, as well as to the long-term goals that will help keep this institution strong. If you were among the many who made New Year’s resolutions, I hope one of those was to rekindle connections to your alma mater by joining us on campus for special events, regularly visiting our website or social media sites to stay up-to-date with campus goings-on, reconnecting with a faculty member who was important to you, talking to families in your community about a Transylvania education, or making a donation to Transylvania to support our annual fund, our athletics programs, or other special projects.

If you haven’t been keeping up with campus news recently, you may be surprised by all that is happening. Our new vice president for academic affairs and dean of the university, Laura Bryan, has brought new energy in support of our outstanding academic programs. New university-wide branding has unified the public face of our university as well as the messages we communicate to prospective students, student-athletes, and faculty members. The first issue of Third & Broadway, the refreshed Transylvania magazine, reflected our new look. Click here to read more.
